Improving accessibility to cultural heritage for people with Intellectual Disabilities: A tool for observing the obstacles and facilitators for the access to knowledge

The Convention on the rights of people with disabilities (UN, 2006) stated that participation in social life is a fundamental human right emphasizing importance to rethink concept accessibility cultural spaces. Cultural heritage sites, as well museums and galleries, express an increasing interest adopting strategies improve for all. We used Inclusive Research paradigm, actively involving group individuals intellectual (ID) goal investigate participants’ perceptions ideas obstacles/facilitators knowledge accessibility. A particular focus has been given readability comprehensibility existing textual resources site. inclusion ID informants during entire research process allowed not only assess their point view, but also realize questionnaire using easy-to-read criteria. main variables assessed through are: (a) Perception Physical Interaction content resources, (b) Language symbols, (c) Content comprehension, (d) Engagement knowledge. argue proposed may be useful inform creating transforming learning environments audience-centered dialogue. Enhancing contribution special pedagogy this innovative field means improving our understanding people's needs complexity potential outcomes, from inclusive perspective. La sur les droits des personnes handicapées (ONU, déclaré que la à vie sociale est un droit fondamental de l’homme, soulignant l’importance repenser le d’accessibilité dans espaces culturels. Les sites du patrimoine culturel, ainsi musées et galeries, expriment intérêt majeur pour l’adoption stratégies visant améliorer l’accessibilité tous. Nous avons utilisé paradigme recherche inclusive, impliquant activement groupe d’individus souffrant handicaps intellectuels (DI) d’étudier idées participants obstacles/facilitateurs connaissances. Une attention particulière été accordée lisibilité compréhension ressources textuelles existantes site culturel. L’inclusion d’une DI comme informateurs tout au long processus permis non seulement d’évaluer leur vue, mais aussi réaliser en utilisant critères faciles lire. principales évaluées par biais sont suivantes : interaction physique avec contenu, Langage symboles, Compréhension soutenons proposé peut être utile informer création transformation environnements d’apprentissage adoptant dialogue centré public. Renforcer pédagogie spéciale ce domaine innovant signifie notre besoins complexité résultats potentiels, une perspective d’inclusion.
